MediaRadar: Media in Our Lives – Dangerous Traps and Useful Technologies
How can we tell true from false information? How can we recognise manipulation, scams and misleading content created using artificial intelligence? On Saturday, November 7, a free Russian-language MediaRadar workshop, “Media in Our Lives: Dangerous Traps and Useful Technologies”, will take place in Haapsalu.
Come and participate in a practical workshop where we will learn to better navigate today’s fast-changing information environment!
MediaRadar, operating under the National Library of Estonia, brings short training sessions to the Lääne County Central Library to raise public awareness about media consumption and foster critical thinking.
What will we do in the workshop?
- Learn to verify the reliability of information, photos and videos.
- Explore manipulation, fraud and cognitive biases.
- Discuss digital safety, as well as the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence.
- Solve practical tasks together and analyse real-life examples to better navigate the digital world.
The workshop will be led by Julia Rodina, an experienced media trainer and founder of the NGO Tuleviku Meedia.
