Coastal Swedish Culture Day in Haapsalu: Mikk Saar and Maritime Heritage

Coastal Swedish Culture Day invites you to the Coastal Swedes Museum on 29 August to discover the cultural heritage, maritime history and traditions of Estonia’s Coastal Swedes. The day concludes with a concert by Mikk Saar.

Coastal Swedish Culture Day is part of the White Lady Festival programme, taking place from 28 to 30 August. The White Lady Festival is one of Haapsalu’s most important traditional summer events, filling the Old Town with a fair, concerts, cultural events and open air performances of the White Lady.

During the day, visitors can explore the Coastal Swedes Museum, take a ride in a refugee boat, taste smoked fish and visit the café. Alar Schönberg will introduce the story of the sailing ship Hoppet and the event will be hosted by Eero Reinu.
