European Day of Languages at Ilon’s Wonderland in Haapsalu

Come to Haapsalu on 26 September from 16:00 to 18:30 to celebrate the European Day of Languages at Ilon’s Wonderland (Kooli 5, Haapsalu). The programme includes a film, an engaging guided tour and practical workshops that show how languages and cultures bring people together.
16:00–17:00
- Short film about children’s book illustrator Ilon Wikland. A moving story of an artist who fled from Haapsalu to Sweden during World War II and later became famous as the illustrator of Astrid Lindgren’s books. The film has English and Russian subtitles.
- Guided tour at Ilon’s Wonderland. The tour is conducted in English and Russian.
17:00–18:30
- Workshop “800 Years Together with the Coastal Swedes – Land, People, Language”.
- Exploring the Swedish language and learning techniques. A practical and engaging workshop led by Eva-Tiina Põlluste, Lisbet Evelin Niinepuu and Kristiina Tedremaa-Levorato.
