Café of Encounters – Stories from the World: My Mexico, My Estonia, My Story

Integration and Adaptation Support in Haapsalu invites everyone to the opening event of the new meeting series Café of Encounters on 16 September 2025. This is a series of conversation evenings where stories from different countries and cultures intertwine in Haapsalu. At the opening evening, our guest will be architect and watercolor artist from Mexico, José Mario Calero Vizcaino.

What will we talk about at the first Café of Encounters evening?

• Mexican culture, cuisine, coastlines, and contrasts
• The intertwining of Estonian nature with family stories
• Journey, friendship, and bioclimatic design
• Presentation of original paintings and personal stories
• and a first glimpse into the children’s book “Enchanted Forest”

The first Café of Encounters evening will take place in the cozy Nurme Bistroo. The bistro is listed in the 2023 White Guide and offers delicious and affordable dishes as well as a warm welcome, creating the perfect environment for sharing cultural stories.

The conversation evening will be conducted in English, with translation into Russian.
